Sam McLennan

Architect

Sam joined Mikhail Riches in 2024, and is working on the zero carbon Graduate housing at Owlstone Croft, and the Passivhaus social housing scheme of Arcus Road.

Sam graduated and gained his Master’s at Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand. Sam’s research looked at digitally reconstructing lost 19th century Churches, with its publication earning him the Young CAADRIA Award in 2020. Sam then joined a local Wellington practice, where he gained experience in a wide range of residential projects. There he completed his NZRAB registration to become a qualified Architect in New Zealand.

Sam is interested in how digital tools can support the creation of honest, expressive environments. Sam’s passion sees him guiding the practice with its use of BIM and Visualisation methods.
