Since joining Mikhail Riches in 2024, Livvy has worked on a large-scale housing scheme as part of the ‘This City’ project for Manchester City Council.
Before joining Mikhail Riches, Livvy studied at the University of Cambridge, graduating in 2024 with 1st Class Honours. During her degree Livvy developed a keen interest in Passivhaus, retrofit and adaptive reuse. Her second-year studio ‘DEMO’ focused on finding value in existing buildings, working with an office block in Shoreditch scheduled for demolition. In third year this interest was explored further, adapting the Grade II Listed Cambridge Station building by introducing a series of translucent hubs in and around the existing fabric. Such projects inspired her third-year dissertation which examined the link between adaptive reuse and ‘sense of place’ by analysing a series of case studies visited on a field trip around Scandinavia.
Livvy is interested in creating characterful and creative spaces through texture, pattern and colour and has a particular affinity for hand-making and careful craftsmanship.
