Kieren joined Mikhail Riches in 2026, and is working on sustainable housing in Basildon and Chigwell.
He graduated from Technological University Dublin, where he completed his Part 1 & 2 in Architecture and currently completing his Part 3 professional studies. He spent three years at Metropolitan Workshop in Dublin, working on large-scale residential and mixed-tenure housing, taking projects from planning through tender to construction on site.
Kieren has worked in housing at every scale, from hands on self-builds to neighbourhoods of hundreds. The interest in housing underpins a simple conviction: the homes a society builds are a direct reflection of its health, and it is the architect’s role to shape that. He is interested in how good detail survives procurement and programme, and what Irish and UK housing can learn from each other. Outside the studio he wrenches on classic Alfa Romeo’s, which he insists is also an exercise in careful detailing.
