Dora Pursey

Part I Architectural Assistant

Dora joined Mikhail Riches in 2026 as a Part I Architectural Assistant.

Before joining the practice, Dora graduated from the University of Sheffield with First Class Honours. Her final-year project reimagined a canal-side warehouse in Doncaster as a community market, exploring how food can act as a common language to bring diverse communities together. The project was awarded the RIBA Yorkshire Student Prize.

Alongside her degree, Dora undertook funded research into cohousing with the University of Sheffield. Working with architects, developers and residents, she explored how community-led housing can encourage more socially connected neighbourhoods. This research reflects her broader interest in cohousing and in designing thoughtful, sustainable architecture that strengthens communities.
