As masterplanner and lead consultant, Mikhail Riches have been working together with gs8 and Boehm Lynas to developed a landscape-led scheme, on grey-belt land, for 232 new low carbon, zero-bills homes located within a 15-minute walk of Chigwell underground station. The scheme includes a new GP surgery, shared community growing spaces, a village green and a linear park that have been closely developed with the local community to target a 24% uplift in biodiversity. The zero-bills scheme provided by Octopus Energy means that residents will pay zero energy bills for the home for a minimum of 5 years in partnership with Octopus Energy – ensuring that residents have healthy homes and are protected from fuel poverty.
